About the Event
This is a single day event for anyone preparing for their Mountain Leader Assessment.
It will cover micro navigation techniques, including:
Contour recognition and reading
Compass bearings (all of them)
Pacing and timing navigation legs
Route planning
Poor visibility navigation (How you are tested for night nav)
Anything else navigation related that you would like to cover.
Good for those needing to boost their confidence with micro navigation!
The course will be based from Llanberis. We will all meet at Caffi Caban (Brynrefail) at 9am on Sunday the 27th. There, we will grab a brew and have a chat before heading out to the hills for the day.
The course will run from 9am to ~4pm.
Please bring with you a compass and an OS 1:25 map of North Snowdonia (OL 17)
Courses are not cancelled for bad weather, so please come prepared for the weather that it forecast.
Minimum of 4 people to run course.
